Nickel City Opera West Postpones Opera Classics Performance to November 2023
'Legally Blonde-The Musical' March 24th-26th at The Richards Center for the Arts
Palm Springs, CA - Palm Springs High School will be presenting 'Legally Blonde-The Musical', March 24th-March 26th at The Richards Center for the Arts. The date for the Opera Classics Performance featuring 'Puccini' at The Richards Center for the Arts has been moved to Sunday, November 26th, 2023 at 5pm. The Inaugural Gala Dinner at the Palm Springs Woman's Club has been moved to Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 at 6pm,.

Based in Buffalo, New York, Nickel City Opera, finds a second home in Palm Springs with Nickel City Opera West and will host a sneak peak of the events planned for the Coachella Valley at the Inaugural Opera Dinner April 18th at The Palm Springs Woman's Club, 314 S. Cahuilla, Palm Springs with a 4 course menu by Chef Ernie of Mario's Italian Cafe. Opera arias will be presented throughout the evening from Metropolitan Opera singer and Artistic Director, Valerian Ruminski and his opera colleagues. Next Fall, the Opera Classics Performance November 26th will feature fully staged 'Puccini' works including La Boheme, Tosca and Madame Butterfly with orchestra.
Nickel City Opera West was formed to bring opera to Palm Springs and communities who do not have a permanent opera company. Based in Buffalo, NY, Nickel City Opera has been bringing fully staged operas, concerts and events to the community as a Summer Festival since 2009. As a winter snowbird satellite, NCO West hopes to bring opera fans to Palm Springs.
Since 1972, Mario's Italian Cafe have established their presence within the local community as an active fundraiser for the Athletic Sponsor of Coachella Valley High Schools, The American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, Desert Arc, Relay for Life, Italian Festival and Make A Wish donating 100% of over 8,000 meals provided annually to help these groups raise money for their causes.
