The Gladstone will present THE COMMUNICATION CORD by Brian Friel and directed by John P. Kelly from March 28th through April 14th.

Brian Friel's farce is set in a remote cottage in Donegal which has been converted into a weekend retreat for the urban élite. Jack loans this cottage to his friend Tim for one furtive hour so as to impress his girlfriend's father. The resulting complications, cover-ups and confusions are constantly hilarious as Friel's play is virtually a send-up of the sentiments so movingly expressed in his own earlier play Translations.

Tickets can be purchased here and cost $39 for adults, $34 for seniors and $23 for students.

910 Gladstone has been a venue for professional theatre in Ottawa since 1982, when it became the home of the Great Canadian Theatre Company. In 2007, when the GCTC moved on to a new facility, local businesspeople, Marilisa Granzotto and Steve Martin acquired the building and began an ambitious renovation. In 2008, the revitalised theatre opened, re-branded as The Gladstone, with the vision to bring accessible, thought-provoking and above all entertaining professional theatre to Ottawa audiences.
