Theatre Poster Designer Frank Verlizzo Set for Palm Beach Dramaworks' Dramalogue Series, 2/4

West Palm Beach's only professional multi-award-winning resident theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, continues its Dramalogue series--- a new initiative that explores working in the theatre --- on February 4 live onstage at The Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). Produced by Mark Perlberg and Sponsored by Nancy and Jay Parker, this new series consists of conversations and presentations spotlighting iconic theatre artists and professionals. The series runs on select Tuesdays thru April 8th, 2014.

The fourth installment in the six-part series will be presented on Tuesday, February 4. First Impressions: Frank Verlizzo - a one-on-one interview and discussion with Dramaworks' resident director J. Barry Lewis and one of finest designers of poster art in American theatre, Frank Verlizzo. Frank "Fraver" Verlizzo has designed posters for over 300 Broadway and off-Broadway shows - including The Lion King, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, and Deathtrap - and is in his third season as poster designer for Palm Beach Dramaworks.

The Dramalogue Series will continue with Author, Author: Israel Horovitz on April 1. Mr. Horovitz will be interviewed by Sheryl Flatow. The final presentation, on April 8, will be Granada's Poet: Federico Garcia Lorca, an exploration of the author of The House of Bernarda Alba and Blood Wedding.

Palm Beach Dramaworks is a non-profit, professional theatre and is a member of the Theatre Communications Group, the South Florida Theatre League, Southeastern Theatre Conference, Florida Professional Theatres Association, Florida Theatre Conference, and the Palm Beach County Cultural Council. For fourteen years, West Palm Beach's only professional, multi-award-winning resident theatre has brought to the Palm Beaches a distinguished roster of plays under the guidance of Producing Artistic Director William Hayes.

Theatre Talks are at 2pm and 7pm on Tuesdays (December 10 thru April 8). Individual tickets are $20. Subscription prices and student tickets are available through the box office.
