In April, The Studio Theatre™ Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) will open a Summer production of Nassim Soleimanpour's play, White Rabbit Red Rabbit. Winner of the Dublin Fringe Festival Best New Performance Award (2012), Summerworks Outstanding New Performance Text Award (2011), and The Arches Brick Award, Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2011).
With no rehearsal, no director, a different actor each night, and a script waiting in a sealed envelope on stage, internationally acclaimed White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Iranian writer Nassim Soleimanpour, is an audacious theatrical experiment and a potent reminder of the transgressive and transformative power of theatre. Since its joint premiere in 2011 in Edinburgh and Summerworks festival, it has been translated into more than 25 different languages and been performed over 1000 times by some of the biggest names in theatre and film including actors John Hurt, Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Lane, Stephen Rea, Sinead Cusack, Marcus Brigstocke, Dominic West, and film director Ken Loach.
The cast includes: Whitney Morse (April 29th performance), Lon Ward Abrams (May 6th performance), and Meghan Moroney* (May 13th performance).
The Theatre Management and Creative Teams are composed of Artistic Director Whitney Morse, Producer Jason Goedken, Set Designer Kenneth Constant, Lighting Designer Weston Corey, Assistant Lighting Designer Michael Giovinco, Technical Director Preston Speaker, Production Manager Danielle Paccione, Company Manager Autumn Encarnacion, Stage Manager Abigale Bobb, Assistant Stage Manager/ Production Assistant Amber Sacks, as well as House Manager Grace Petty and Assistant House Manager Josh Kimball.
