The Henegar Center for the Arts is thrilled to announce its Summer Theatre Workshop production of PIPPIN. PIPPIN, which won five Tony Awards in 1973, features the outstanding talents of nearly sixty local high school students and recent graduates.
PIPPIN presents a troupe of travelling performers, who present the life and times of protagonist Pippin. Led by the mysterious and charismatic Leading Player, the troupe sets forth to tell the story of a young prince named Pippin who longs to find his passion and give his life meaning.
PIPPIN is directed by Christine Brandt, with music direction by Jordan Evans, and choreography by Kim Cole. The show will be performed entirely by high school students and recent graduates on the Henegar Center's mainstage. Family members and friends are invited to attend, as is anyone looking to experience an epic, professional-scale musical production.
PIPPIN runs July 16 and 17 at 7:30pm and July 18 at 2pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are $18 for adults and seniors and $15 for children (18 and under) plus a small service charge. Reserved tickets may be purchased in person at the Henegar Center Box Office Monday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm, by calling 321-723-8698, or at www.henegar.org.
