THE FANTASTICKS Extends at Winter Park Playhouse

THE FANTASTICKS, a well-loved, classic musical, professionally produced by The Winter Park Playhouse, will extend the run of its production due to popular demand. Additional performances are Thursday, June 16? at 2 p.m., Friday, June 17 at 7:30p.m. and two performances Saturday, June 18 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. ?

A funny, romantic and ever-popular piece of theater, The Fantasticks, which ran for over 50 years Off-Broadway, tells an endearing story about a boy, a girl, two fathers, and a love that grows with each season. This show features a gorgeous score by Harvey Schmidt with book and lyrics by Tom Jones, including popular songs like "Try to Remember" and "Soon It's Gonna Rain."

The professional cast includes a magnitude of talent with Shawn Kilgore as El Gallo, Molly Jackson as Luisa, Dustin Russell as Matt, David Thome as Bellomy, Glenn Gover as Hucklebee, Michael Edwards as Henry, Todd Allen Long as Mortimer and Jasmine Forsberg as The Mute. Playhouse Artistic Director Roy Alan directs and Christopher Leavy music directs the production. The Playhouse trio will accompany with Mr. Leavy on piano, Ned Wilkinson on multiple instruments and Sam Forrest on percussion.

Ticket prices are $40 evenings, $36 senior evenings, $30 matinees, $15 student and theatrical industry professionals. Student rush "$10@10" offers $10 tickets (for students 25 years and younger) 10 minutes prior to a performance when seats are available.
