StarStruck Theatre presents the area premiere of Geoffrey Nauffts' award-winning play Next Fall. Directed by mARTie Award Winner Jennifer Jones, Next Fall will play a limited engagement January 18-20, 2013.

A contemporary love story that will make audiences smile, laugh, and perhaps even cry, Next Fall won the hearts and minds of Broadway, capturing a 2010 Outer Critics Circle Award as Best New American Play and a Tony Award nomination for Best Play.

New York couple Adam and Luke are an example of opposites attract. Adam is older, neurotic, and an atheist; Luke is impulsive, a struggling actor, and devoutly religious. After Luke is involved in a serious accident, family and friends descend upon them and these longtime differences collide, forcing opposing views on faith and family into a standoff. Hilarious and heartbreaking, it exposes the fundamental truth that we love people both because of - and in spite of - who they are.

StarStruck Artistic Director, Jennifer Jones, is thrilled to have the chance to expose this area to such a fantastic piece. "I want to see the world a more peaceful and loving place," Jones replied. "Cliche? Yes. Honest? Yes. There is too much hate and too much prejudice. I spend everyday of my life with children. I watch them get hurt by intolerance. I also watch them love with blinders on. Adults could learn a lesson from children."

The New York Times hailed its "ample heart and snappy humor" and said it "speaks in a quiet voice of momentous things." Associated Press called Next Fall "compassionate, laugh-filled and enormously entertaining." Time Out New York stated, "be prepared to laugh some, perhaps to cry some, and then to rise in appreciation."

The star-studded cast includes Equity actor and 2011 BroadwayWorld Award-Winner Josh Rhett Noble as the neurotic atheist Adam and newcomer Pierre Tannous as the devout Christian and aspiring actor, Luke. Rounding out the cast are local favorites Elizabeth Casalini as Holly, Matt McClure as Brandon, Lauren Espitia as Arlene, and John Carlile as Butch.

"Working with this cast is a dream," director Jennifer Jones said. "I could not want for a more professional or dedicated group of actors. Getting into the deepest parts of a character's "desires and issues" are what makes directing so stimulating, challenging and exciting."
Next Fall is made possible by generous support from Sharon Sisitzky: In honor of her son Michael. Recommended for ages 15 and above. (Strong language and mature themes.)
