SAMMY: A KARAOKE CABARET and Anthony Johnson Coming Up at The Abbey

The Abbey announces two new cabaret shows coming this month as part of their Monday Night Cabaret Series.

On January 18 from 7pm to 9pm, Orlando favorite Miss Sammy brings a new twist on the conventional cabaret with SING-OUT! with Sammy: A Karaoke Cabaret. The following Monday on January 25 at 8pm, Anthony Johnson presents his new cabaret, Unadulterated.

Featuring pop and retro karaoke, show-tunes and sing-a-longs, SING-OUT! With Sammy brings a fun new twist to the standard cabaret as audience members are invited to join in the action both onstage and off!

Direct from New York, on January 25 Anthony Johnson sings his way through stories of starting over, falling apart, making a mess, and picking up (most of) the pieces in Unadulterated, an evening of sex, drugs, and musical theater. Anthony returns to Orlando after last performing in Blue Lagoon: A Musical at Footlight Theatre. Most recently, he performed in Gypsy (Tulsa) starring Tony Nominee Sally Mayes with Harbor Lights Theatre Company in New York City. Prior to Gypsy, Anthony performed in three regional productions of West Side Story, at Westchester Broadway (Tony), Riverside Theatre (A-Rab), and Harbor Lights (Action/ u/s Tony). Other credits include the National Tour of Hairspray.
