This summer, Jeremy Seghers will direct Bernard Shaw's complex and compelling drama based on the rise and fall of Joan of Arc, an uneducated but brilliant farm girl, who famously lead the French army to victory over the English.
After seeing the prince crowned King Charles VII, she was captured, tried for witchcraft and heresy, and burned at the stake at the age of 19. From maid to military leader to martyr, Joan challenged the role of a woman within feudal society and became a saint in 1920.
Receiving an electrifying update, Saint Joan will be staged at the Fred Stone Theatre at Rollins College.
