Beth Marshall Presents brings the long-awaited Central Florida premiere of Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore to the Garden Theatre from February 2- 25, 2018. Directed by Mark Routhier with a star-studded cast and creative team, The Lieutenant of Inishmore is supported by The Wine Bar at Tim's Wine Market, Avalon Park.

Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore drops audiences into a small Irish town where citizens are locked, loaded and ready to go. The New York Times lauded the show as "appallingly entertaining," and the Hollywood Reporter called it, "A cheerfully bizarre play...not for the faint of heart." With more than 60 rounds of ammunition, gallons of blood, and exploding cats, The Lieutenant of Inishmore will be the boldest theatrical event of the Garden Theatre season.

Director Mark Routhier has assembled some of Orlando's most exciting actors to bring McDonagh's smart and scalpel-sharp language to life. The Garden Theatre is pleased to welcome back Don Fowler (The Diviners) as Donny, the menacing patriarch of Inishmore, with Joseph Fabian as his unfortunate sidekick, Davey. John Michael McDonald and Michael Dritto storm the Garden stage as the deadly assassins Christy and Brendan. Adam Minossora appears as the strung-out dope pusher, James. Rachel Comeau (The Whale) returns to the Garden as the shotgun-toting beauty, Mairead, with Forrest Stringfellow as Joey, a killer with the heart of gold.

Returning Garden Theatre actor Zach Lane (The Glass Menagerie) leads the cast as the dangerous and dashing Padraic. And Dr. Bombay is currently preparing for his stage début as Wee Thomas, the cat.

Martin McDonagh (playwright) has written numerous plays including A Behanding in Spokane, The Lonesome West (Tony nominee, Best Play 1999), The Beauty Queen of Leenane (Tony nominee, Best Play 1999) and The Pillowman, which was a Tony nominee for Best Play 2005 and an Olivier Award winner in 2004. Other works include Suicide on Sixth Street, Shit on Illinois, Seven Psychopaths, In Bruges and Six-Shooter (Oscar - Best Short 2006). His movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri was the big winner at the 2018 Golden Globes, taking home four awards including Best Motion Picture - Drama.

To delve even deeper into this production, Garden Theatre expands their programming to include a post-show Ghost Tour. Partnering with American Ghost Adventures, members of the public are invited to investigate the theatre with actors from The Lieutenant of Inishmore. A professional investigator will lead the group throughout the historic building using professional ghost hunting equipment and provide insight into the history of the Garden Theatre. Tour will begin after the 8 p.m. show has ended, approximately 10 p.m. Tickets are $30.

Tickets are on sale now for $29 with discounts available for students, seniors, and educators. Tickets may be purchased by calling 407-877-4736, at the Garden Theatre Box Office at 160 West Plant Street in Winter Garden, or online at gardentheatre.org.
