It's the hard-knock life! Garden Theatre is currently showing Annie. The book is by Thomas Meehan; the music is by Charles Strouse; and the lyrics are by by Martin Charnin. Directed by Steve MacKinnon, with choreography by Spencer Morrow, performances run through Saturday, December 23, 2017.
ANNIE, the world's best-loved family musical, opened at the Garden Theatre just in time for the holidays. Little Orphan Annie is taken from her orphanage, and the clutches of cruel Miss Hannigan, to stay at billionaire Oliver Warbucks' mansion for the holidays. When Annie wins the hearts of Warbucks and his staff, they set out on a mission to find Annie's parents.
The principal cast will feature Cami Miller as the gin-soaked Miss Hannigan and Shonn McCloud as Oliver Warbucks, Tricia Jane Wiles as Grace Farrell, Blake Aburn as Rooster Hannigan, Grace Flaherty as Lily St. Regis, Bob Brandenburg as Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Lyla Tsiokos as Annie.
The production team includes set design by Joe Klug, costume design by AJ Garcia, lighting design by Alyx Jacobs, and wig design by Julie Daniel. The stage manager is Paige Gober.
Proudly presented by Florida Hospital, the performance schedule is Thursday at 8:00 p.m., Friday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., plus select Mondays at 8:00 p.m.
