Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts announced itsTheatre for Youth and Outreach Program 2013-2014 season today. Individual tickets go on sale Friday, August 16th at noon. Due to the nature of the entertainment industry all artists, programs and dates are subject to change.

THE BERENSTAIN BEARS LIVE! In Family Matters
Thursday, October 3, 10:30 am
Ticket Price: $11 (inclusive of ticketing fees)
Appropriate for: Pre K - grades 3

Adapted from the Berenstain Bears beloved book series, join mama, papa, sister and brother bear in this colorful and fun-filled musical!

THE MATH MANIAC SHOW FEATURING MAX MILLIONS
Wednesday, October 16, 10:30 am
Ticket Price: $11 (inclusive of ticketing fees)
Appropriate for: K - grades 6

Math matters! Filled with exciting props, this interactive program will add fun, subtract boredom, multiply test scores and keep the audience's undivided attention.

ALADDIN AND OTHER ENCHANTING TALES

Appropriate for: K - grades 6

A giant genie, princesses and wizards abound in the marvelous tales of Scheherazade, the storytelling heroine who heals her Sultan and saves his kingdom. The captivating tales are brought to life with stunning costumes, puppets, masks, illusions and pantomime.

THE VANISHED VAUDEVILLIAN

Appropriate for: K - grades 5

STEAM Trunk Stories: The Vanished Vaudevillian
Comedy, magic, juggling (plus a mysterious book and a hat belonging to Harry Houdini!) are brought together in this hilarious show featuring fantastic feats of fact and fiction. "Storyologists" Page Turner and Kenny need the help of the audience to unravel riddles, figure out clues, and solve the mystery of the "Vanished Vaudevillian."

ALICE ROCKS WONDERLAND
Tuesday, January 28, 10:30 am

Appropriate for: K - grades 8

The King Center pumps up the volume in this "Rock Musical" version of Alice's adventures. Featuring original lyrics and music combined with Lewis Carroll's poetry, the show tells the familiar story in an exciting theatrical style.

Tuesday and Wednesday, March 18 and 19, 10:30 am

Accompanied by live musicians, these masters of agility and grace are experts at somersaulting, gymnastics, juggling, precision tumbling, and trick-cycling. Amazing and exciting!

VOCAL TRASH

Appropriate for: General audience

Described as "STOMP" with vocals and dance and "GLEE" with a kick! Presenting an electrifying performance of tight a cappella harmonies, industrial style drumming and award winning break-dancing, the ensemble delights audiences with the universal language of song and dance.
