PIECES OF 8 Art Exhibit Opens Today at the King Center

A collection of artwork from members of Pieces of 8 will be on display at the Harris Gallery in the Maxwell C. King Center lobby from today, June 24th through July 29th. The exhibit will include mixed media by artists Carmen Beecher, Cindy Michaud, Carol Schiff, Denette Schweikert, Donna Vines, Mary Warnick, Kathy Garvey, Phillis Holland and Fay Picardi.

The Pieces of 8 are a dynamic group of women who came together in 2006 to share a common passion for art. They've come to know the joy of close friendship, a support group, and the encouragement that every artist needs. Unlike their working days, they now look forward to Mondays, the day they meet to paint, lunch and uplift.

This exhibit may be viewed by ticketed patrons attending King Center main stage performances. All of the artwork will be available for purchase.
