Today, Fringe World Congress announced that Orlando Fringe will host their biennial meeting of Fringe Festival leaders from around the world in January of 2022.
Established in 2012, the Fringe World Congress is a unique platform which brings together the organizations who manage fringe festivals around the globe to share ideas and experiences and build future collaborations. The biennial Fringe World Congress, comprising a diverse program of panel discussions and networking events, allows fringe organizers to discuss their respective operations and identify ways of working together, strengthening the fringe community and improving fringe festivals across the globe.
The 2012 and 2014 Fringe World Congresses took place during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in partnership with World Fringe. These inaugural events began a global movement dedicated to drawing together the collective yet individual voices of Fringes across the world.
The 2016 Fringe World Congress took place in Montreal, Canada from 16 - 18 November 2016 and was hosted by the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals (CAFF) and Festival St-Ambroise Fringe de Montr al/ St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival. The 2016 Fringe World Congress was a lively and inspiring event, building on the success of the previous two congresses and further raising the profile of Fringe activity all over the world.
The Fringe World Congress returned to Edinburgh in 2018 and was hosted once again by the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. There was a packed program of speakers, workshops and networking events attended by 70 delegates from over 40 Fringe organizations.
The next Fringe World Congress will take place in 2020 in Adelaide, Australia. Orlando will host the event in 2022.

Fringe World Congress was inspired by World Fringe who operate to unite, strengthen & connect the Fringe Festival Sector and global Fringe community.
