On Friday, Dec. 13 at 8pm, the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble will take the audience on an energetic trip through Hungarian culture. On Monday, Dec. 16 at 8pm, the acclaimed Irish ensemble Danú celebrates a traditional Christmas in Ireland: An Nollaig in Éirinn. Celtic music lovers around the globe have been thrilled by the ensemble's virtuoso players and the gorgeous voice of Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh. Returning to the Van Wezel on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 8pm, Led by Grammy winning trumpeter and Managing/Artistic Director, Wynton Marsalis, the remarkably versatile Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra is widely regarded as the finest big band in the world today. Fronted by the award-winning, exquisite young songstress, Cécile McLorin Salvant, they celebrate jazz's large-ensemble tradition like no other. Tickets: $55-$80
