NEWSIES, PIPPIN, MOTOWN & More Set for 2014-15 Broadway Season at the Dr. Phillips Center

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, together with Florida Theatrical Association and Broadway Across America, has unveiled the lineup of shows for the Center's inaugural 2014-2015 Broadway season. To celebrate the historic season, Dr. Phillips Center FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando is bringing world-class theater to a world-class stage, headlined by the spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. The season will also include NEWSIES, the smash hit musical from Disney, and the record-breaking sensation MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. Rounding out the 2014-2015 season are the brand new, high-flying production of PIPPIN, the Tony Award-winning revival of ANYTHING GOES, and the hilariously charming I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE.

Back by popular demand, the 2014-2015 season will also offer two highly sought-after season specials: Following a record-breaking run, the Broadway phenomenon THE BOOK OF MORMON will return for a limited engagement, and the beloved tale of Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will once again dazzle and enchant Orlando audiences. Dr. Phillips Center FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando season ticket holders will have first access to purchase tickets to these hit shows before they go on sale to the general public.

Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.OrlandoBroadway.com, by calling 1.800.448.6322 (M - F, 10a.m. - 5p.m.), or in person at 100 S. Eola Drive, Suite 101, Orlando, Fla. 32801 (M - F, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.).

Prices for the six-show season start at $219, depending on performance time, day of week and seating location selected.

Tickets to individual shows in the 2014-2015 Season are not available for purchase at this time. All shows will be performed in the Walt Disney Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Current season ticket holders should expect their renewal packets to arrive via USPS no later than April 1.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy's journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more. Motown shattered barriers, shaped lives and made us all move to the same beat. Now experience it live on stage in Orlando, March 10 - 15, 2015.

Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, PIPPIN is back on Broadway for the first time since it thrilled audiences 40 years ago. The story of a young prince on a death-defying journey to find the meaning of his existence, this captivating new production features sizzling choreography and breathtaking acrobatics. The excitement of this high-flying show makes its way to Orlando April 21 - 26, 2015.

All aboard for this saucy and splendid new production of the Tony Award-winning ANYTHING GOES. Peppering this Cole Porter first-class comedy are some of musical theater's most memorable standards, including "I Get A Kick Out Of You," "You're The Top," and of course "Anything Goes." Don't miss what the Associated Press calls "So Delightful, So Delicious, So De-lovely!" when ANYTHING GOES rolls into Orlando May 26 - 31, 2015.

I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE is the brand new hit stage show adapted from the most beloved program in television history. Relive classic moments from I Love Lucy, as the audience is transported to the Desilu Playhouse for the filming of two hilarious and oh-so-familiar episodes live on stage and in color for the very first time. Orlando audiences will rejoice in the side-splitting antics of America's favorite foursome - Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel - in this one-of-a-kind theatrical experience June 23 - 28, 2015.
