Momix: Botanica Comes to Sarasota, 1/22

Inspired by the beauty and graceful elegance of the natural world, Momix: Botanica has created a visual experience like no other. On January 22, 2013 at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, will become a looking glass, through which the audience will see the harmony of nature portrayed through theatrical dance and stunning illusion. Making use of elaborate props, costumes, and interactive sets with dramatic light effects, the dancers recreate various life forms from every corner of the planet and bring them to life before your very eyes. The multimedia experience which has thrilled fans in 22 countries has an eclectic soundtrack ranging from birdsongs to Vivaldi, and beautifully interprets the complexity and diversity of our world in a way that leaves the viewer awe-struck with delight and wonder.
