Marilyn Maye is a highly praised singer, actress, director, arranger, educator, and Grammy nominated recording artist. Marilyn began her professional singing career by winning a 13-week appearance on radio station WIBW, Topeka, Kansas, at age nine. She has since appeared 76 times on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson; landed a Radio Corporation of America recording contract, which includes seven albums and 34 singles; had one of her singles "Too Late Now" included in the Smithsonian-produced album of the 110 Best American Compositions of the Twentieth Century; appeared seven times at Disney's Top of the World Lounge; and performed in more than 100 engagements in the last nine years in New York including sold-out multiple-nights at the Metropolitan Room, Birdland, five two-week runs at Feinstein's at The Loews Regency Hotel, New York's Town Hall, and the 92nd Street Y Theater.

In addition to her musical cabaret at Orlando Shakes, Marilyn Maye will also be leading a Master Class in vocal performance at the Winter Park Playhouse (711-C Orange Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789) on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.. The class will provide a way for individuals to perform for an audience of supportive participants and improve on their overall vocal performance skills.
