Grab your parachute pants, banana clips and homework assignments, and head back to the 1980s with TOTALLY ELECTRIC, a hilarious new show featuring the hits from the 80s, playing at The Abbey, September 10 - 28.

TOTALLY ELECTRIC begins at the high school reunion for the West Lake High School Class of 1989. When the award-winning West Lake show choir "The Syncopated Sensations," are unable to perform, we flash back to the 1980s, and the Sensations' last weeks of high school. Each with a unique personality, the Sensations find respect and camaraderie in their musical group, while being bullied by the West Lake "in crowd". Through their determination, talent, and friendship, The Sensations will attempt to leave their mark on West Lake forever-paving the way for new Sensations to come.

TOTALLY ELECTRIC stars Miss America winner Ericka Dunlap (Tiara Lynn Kelly), Ricky Cona (Jessie Newton-John), Adam Galarza (Jimmy Phil Tony Bob Lee Stafford), Meredith McDermott (Grapenut Brown), Katie Fitzsimmons (Kippy Kaler) and Blake Aburn (Lum Ding O'Reilly) as The Syncopated Sensations.

The in-crowd that you love to hate is played by Alejandra Martinez (Taffy Tepperman), Alice Rix (Toffee Tepperman), Shonn McCloud (Vince Wentworth), and Alex Mrazek (Mike Meadows). Rounding out the cast are Valerie Witherspoon (Jean-Michelle Valjean) as the French exchange student and Betsy Padamonsky (Holly Feffen/Fancy Stafford) as the school's spirited goody two-shoes.

Tickets to Totally Electric are available at www.TicketWeb.com. General admission tickets are $30 and VIP tickets, which include reserved table seating, are $45.

Produced by Aaron Safer and Alice Rix of Gen Y Productions, TOTALLY ELECTRIC is written and directed by Jonathan Van Dyke with musical direction by Michael Raabe, who recently completed the Off Broadway run of DISENCHANTED! TOTALLY ELECTRIC premiered at NYC's The Duplex in 2007 where it had a sold out and extended run. It has also been presented at The Aurora Fox Arts Center in Denver, The New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, The Ritz Theatre and The Riverfront Theatre.
