Winter Garden, FL -- The Garden Theatre is pleased to announce that Shana Fair, most recently Development Manager for the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, has assumed the role of Development Director for the Garden Theatre in historic downtown Winter Garden.

"This beautiful community is one of Central Florida's gems," said Fair. "The charm, the family atmosphere and vibrant love for the arts in this community spoke to my heart and I knew the Garden Theatre was the perfect fit."

Fair, a native Floridian and West Orange County resident, began her work in the nonprofit sector in 2007. For the last eight years, Fair has worked in fundraising and development, primarily in social services and education.

"I really wanted to make a career and lifetime commitment of giving back," said Fair.

Shana's heart for nonprofit work has led her to development roles at UCP of Central Florida and Community Based Care of Central Florida prior to joining the Orlando Philharmonic, where she managed the Development and Fundraising team.

"I hope to be an agent of cultural change and to further the mission of Garden Theatre," said Fair. "I look forward to serving the theatre and working with everyone who supports this amazing organization."

Fair graduated with B.A. in Business Management from Saint Leo University in Gainesville, Florida.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Winter Garden on Plant Street, the Garden Theatre is a not-for-profit organization committed to enriching, engaging and entertaining through creative experiences. The 299-seat theatre, which re-opened in 2008, is an historic, atmospheric, professional performing arts venue in a Mediterranean Revival style. The Garden Theatre hosts live plays, concerts, movies and more to the residents of and visitors to the city of Winter Garden. It is home to the international StarLite Film Festival as well as the summer Bluegrass Concert Series.
