Dr. Phillips Charities launches what hopes to be an annual event Dr. Phillips Charities Kids Day by providing underprivileged youth in Orlando an opportunity to enjoy a holiday show and a meal at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Dr. Phillips Charities chose four organizations who serve children in Orange and Osceola counties; Edgewood Children's Ranch, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, The YMCA of Central Florida through their Teen Achievers Program and the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation.
"Each organization strives to inspire hope and opportunity in those who need it most - at risk children in our local community," said Ken Robinson, president Dr. Phillips Charities, "Dr. Phillips Charities is proud to use this platform to inspire and enable these young people."
During the meals, Dr. Phillips Charities President, Ken Robinson and Director of Grants, Wendy Oliver will speak to students about dreaming big and working hard as the key to realizing dreams come true.
"This program supports our vision of Arts For Every Life and we're delighted to provide this opportunity for these children to be impacted by the experience." said Kathy Ramsberger, president & CEO of Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
