Central Florida Community Arts, a leading arts nonprofit, is proud to present Symphonic Cinema: The Sequel, performed by the CFCArts Symphony Orchestra with a special appearance by the CFCArts Community Choir. Tickets are now on sale for performances at Calvary Orlando (1199 Clay Street, Winter Park, FL 32789), June 15 at 8 p.m. and June 16 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Following up on their successful concert Symphonic Cinema in 2016, this sequel concert will showcase music from movies that have become modern classics, as well as bring timeless memories of the silver screen to life. Symphonic Cinema: The Sequel features the CFCArts 150-member Symphony Orchestra, which has been named Florida's largest symphony orchestra.
"I truly believe you'll hear, see, and experience something you never thought a community orchestra could do," says Justin Muchoney, musical director and conductor of the CFCArts Symphony Orchestra. "With the size of our orchestra comes a power, emotion, passion, and raw energy that is perfectly suited for film scores like these."
The orchestra will be accompanied by 60 voices from the CFCArts Community Choir to enhance the most iconic cinematic moments of the concert. Music and movie lovers of all ages are invited to experience some of the most incredible music from the big screen, including Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, Chariots of Fire, La La Land, Wonder Woman, Star Wars, and many more.
"There is absolutely something for everyone in this concert," says Muchoney. "We're performing something everyone in your family will recognize and fall in love with all over again. This concert will move you!"
