Broadway Veteran Larry Alexander to Premiere Solo Cabaret at Winter Park Playhouse

Broadway veteran Larry Alexander premieres a new solo cabaret, I Have Dreamed: The Music of Richard Rodgers, in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series November 29 and 30. Mr. Alexander will be accompanied by Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy on the piano.

Larry Alexander, who is starring in The Winter Park Playhouse production of Daddy Long Legs, has an extensive professional musical theatre and acting career. Most notably is his Broadway run as Marius in the New York production of Les Miserables. Larry's lengthy resume also includes the European Tour of M. Fair Lady (Freddy) with Maximilian Schell, the Opening Act for Liza Minnelli in Concert - the World Tour, The Wizard of Oz at Lincoln Center and the Off-Broadway production of Party (Philip).

Larry was last seen locally at The Playhouse in 2016, where he was featured in the theatre's production of Noel Coward's A Marvelous Party. Other professional regional credits include work at Freefall Theatre (St. Petersburg), Theatre Zone (Naples), and American Stage (St. Petersburg) and most recently the MNM production of La Cage Aux Folles in South Florida. Larry's television credits include The Guiding Light, As The World Turns, Murder One, Tom Snyder and The Rosie O'Donnell Show.

In his new solo cabaret at The Winter Park Playhouse, Larry will highlight songs from the iconic work of Richard Rodgers. Sit back and enjoy Mr. Alexander's incomparable vocals as he weaves an evening of sheer delight featuring well-loved musical theatre standards such as "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered," "Lady Is A Tramp," "If I Loved You," and many more.

General admission tickets are $20 plus a one drink minimum. Once sold out, a limited number of "Standing Room Only" tickets are available for $10.
