Baritone Vocalist Michael Foster Premieres Cabaret at Winter Park Playhouse

Michael Foster takes the cabaret spotlight at The Winter Park Playhouse to premiere his latest solo cabaret, Do You Dream In French?, in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series May 17 and 18.

Michael will be accompanied by Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy on the piano.

Michael Foster has had a twenty year career in the arts that spans the globe. he studied at Liberty University, Florida State University, and the University of Illinois where he was schooled under the eye of leading baritone Nathan Gunn.
As an Actors' Equity professional,

Mr. Foster's prominent rich vocals have landed him leading roles that include "Tony" in West Side Story, "The Baker" in Into the Woods, "Sky Masterson" in Guys and Dolls, and "Gaston" in a Walt Disney Company production of Beauty and the Beast. Michael also has performed classical opera to acclaim, most notably the title role in Don Giovanni.

Michael's performing career has also included many commercials and recorded projects and concerts - most recently with The Nashville Chamber Singers and as the baritone soloist for Michael Dougherty's Letters From Lincoln. Along with a long list of directorial credits, Michael founded The Program for The Lyric Theatre in Italy which is a summer immersion intensive for singers worldwide.

At The Playhouse, Michael will debut his latest work, Do You Dream In French?, which will highlight a mix of classical opera, Broadway show tunes, and American standards. Audiences will be treated to Mr. Foster's easy style and prominent vocals in the wonderfully intimate atmosphere of the theatre's lobby bar.

General admission tickets are $20 plus a one drink minimum. Once sold out, a limited number of "Standing Room Only" tickets are available for $10. Seating is limited so advance reservations are strongly recommended. Doors open at 6:30p.m. for a 7:30p.m. cabaret.
