Andrea McArdle, Broadway's original Annie, will kick off the holiday season at The Abbey with Sounds of the Season, with performances on December 17th & 18th at 8 pm.
A show business legend, McArdle will lend her incredible voice not only to traditional holiday song favorites, but also beloved Broadway melodies from Oliver, Annie, Meet Me in St. Louis, and more. Fresh off her sold-out engagements at New York City's 54 Below, McArdle's Sounds of the Season promises to leave audiences breathless.
"I can think of no better way to ring in the holiday season than with the amazing Andrea McArdle," says Kenny Howard, Artistic Director for The Abbey. "We are delighted to welcome a Broadway icon to The Abbey!"
McArdle was the youngest performer ever nominated for a Tony Award when she received the nod in 1977 for originating the title role in Annie. She has since appeared in countless musicals, including Les Miserables (Broadway and national tour), Jersey's Girls with Carol Channing and Leslie Uggams, and Beauty & the Beast, in addition to many concerts, recordings and television and film roles.
