Combine a wicked stepmother and two evil stepsisters, a magical fairy godmother, a king, a charming prince, and a pair of glass slippers and you have the recipe for a lively, musical retelling of Charles Perrault's classic tale Cinderella, onstage at Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre through March 16, 2013.

Orphaned Cinderella (Joanna Mandel) is forced to become a servant of her evil Stepmother (Lauren Elbaum) and her two evil Stepsisters Henrietta (Kati O'Hearn) and Gertrude (AriAnne Collins). Every evening, after her chores are done, she sits by the chimney and dreams about her rescue.

Meanwhile, on the eve of Prince Charming's (Jonathan Beckett) 21st birthday with accordance of his father's rules, King Darling the Third (Jonathan Sanz), the Prince must find the woman he will marry. With the aid of her two Helpers (Mark Brown-Rodriguez and Andrew Shultz), the Fairy Godmother (Pilar Valentino) turns Cinderella's rags into a beautiful ball gown and a pumpkin into a carriage. Cinderella travels to the birthday ball and finally meets her Prince, but will she make it home in time for her Midnight deadline?

Originally produced by The Prince Street Players with book and lyrics by Jim Eiler and music by Jim Eiler and Jeanne Bargy. The creative team for Cinderella includes Musical Director Anthony J. Campisi, Set Designer Hector Ferrera, Costume Designer Darío Almirón, Lighting Designer Patrick Tennent and Sound Designer Alexander Herrin.

Tickets to Cinderella are $17 for adults and children and can be ordered online at www.actorsplayhouse.org or through the Box Office at 305.444.9293. Birthday party group rates for fifteen or more are available for show only and/or show and party reception.

Select weekday 10 a.m. performances are available for pre-arranged fieldtrips and can be booked through the Education Department at educate@actorsplayhouse.org or 305.444.9293 ext. 606. Actors' Playhouse provides detailed study guides and a talkback with the cast for all weekday student performances.
