Playhouse Honors Volunteers at Awards Night 2010

The Omaha Community Playhouse honored itstop volunteers at the annual "Awards Night" ceremony held Monday evening at the theatre, located at 6915 Cass Street. "Awards Night" is an annual tribute to the thousands of volunteers who contribute their time and talents to The Playhouse.

Awards are given for outstanding service in "out-front" areas such as membership sales and box office service; in "backstage"areas involving costuming, scenery and technical assistance; and for excellence in performing.The evening culminated with the presentation of the Fonda-McGuire Award to the male and female actors judged to have given the best performance of the season.

The award is named for Henry Fonda and Dorothy McGuire, The Playhouse's mosteminent alumni.Following is a complete list of award winners: Fonda McGuire Award for the most outstanding performance of the season

Female: Lois Nemec, for her performance as Linda Loman in Death of a Salesman

Male: Mark Thornburg for his performance as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof President's Award Winner: Julie Liakos and Zach Atchley/Atchley Ford Mary Peckham Award for memorable performance in a feature roleFemale Musical:Bailey Carlson for her performance as Natalie in All Shook Up

Male Musical: Tim Abou-Nasr for his performance as Josephin Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor © Dreamcoat - 

Female Play: Dawn Buller-Kirke for her performance as Lillian Gilbrethin Cheaper By the Dozen

Male Play: Bernie Clark for his performance as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman Barbara Ford Award for outstanding performance in a supporting role

Female Play: Erika Zadina for her performance in Various Rolesin Almost, Maine

Male Play:Anthony Clark-Kaczmarek for his performance as Biffin Death of a Salesman

Female Musical: Theresa Sindelar for her performance as Sylvia in All Shook Up

Male Musical: Rick Tritz for his performance as Dennis in All Shook Up Clarence Teal Cameo Award for memorable performance in a small role

Female Play: Beth Paprocki for her role as Lieutenant Ann Girardin Mister Roberts

Male Play:Don Harris for his role as Dowdy in Mister Roberts

Female Musical: DiAnne Jones for her role asYente in Fiddler on the Roof

Male Musical:Gary Bosanek for his role as Lazar Wolfin Fiddler on the Roof

Trustees Award Winner: Doug and Marianne Young
