The Omaha Community Playhouse will present Awesome 80s Prom in the Howard Drew Theatre April 30- May 30, 2010.
The Awesome 80s Prom is a brand new blast-from-the-past party in the style of Tony ‘n Tina's Wedding. It's 1989 and it's senior prom time at Wanaget High. Enter the student-decorated school gym and see all of your favorite characters from classic 80s teen movies: the captain of the football team; the head cheerleader; the foreign exchange students; the class officers; the geeks; the bad boys; the "Heathers"-style mean girls. The audience gets to vote on who will be Prom King and Prom Queen. It's a one-ofa-kind evening of big hair and Members Only jackets and that unique music that defined the 80s. Join the fun! And this time you don't have curfew!
