This is the second of three readings of this script, each time performed by a different actor who has never read the script until it is performed. Actress Denise Chapman will perform the reading of White Rabbit Red Rabbit on February 19, 2018. OCP Associate Artistic Director Jeff Horger performed the first reading of this script last November, and there will be one more reading of this script on May 14, 2018. Jeff Horger will cast the final performance with an actor who has not seen or read the script.
White Rabbit Red Rabbit
White Rabbit Red Rabbit has been called a play but it's also a lively, global sensation that no one is allowed to talk about. Its award-winning playwright, Nassim Soleimanpour, is Iranian. His words have escaped censorship and are awaiting an audience. Slyly humorous and audaciously pointed, this 'theater-entertainment-meets-social-experiment' is unlike anything and will make you question everything.
This piece is always performed by a single actor who has never read the script before and has no idea what it's about. Come experience a truly unique piece of theatre, then come back to see it again with a different performer.
NOTE: All media and press agents: This play is NOT overtly political and should not be portrayed as such. It operates on a deeper, metaphoric level, and very expressly avoids overt political comment. We therefore ask the press to be judicious in their reportage.
