Ohama Playhouse Announces ALTAR BOYZ for 3/2

ALTAR BOYZ will open on March 2, 2012 at the Omaha Community Playhouse.

ALTAR BOYZ is a concert-style musical about a boy band trying to save souls with their pious pop act on their “Raise the Praise” tour. Five small-town boys—Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham—trying to save the world one screaming fan at a time with their pious pop act, including lyrics like “Girl You Make Me Wanna Wait” and “Jesus Called Me On My Cell Phone.”

Music and lyrics are by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker, while the show was conceived by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport. The production will be directed by Susan Baer Collins, with music direction from Jim Boggess and choreographer from Melanie Walters.

The cast are Paul T. Hanson, Joseph T. O’Connor II, Quinton Stewart, Roderick Cotton and David J. Zenchuk.
