"Memphis" is coming to the Lied Center in Lincoln, Ne. The award winning show will be here tonight and tomorrow, November 12th and 13th, with evening performances.

"Lied Center patrons love musical theater and Memphis will be no exception. This show goes far beyond irresistible songs and incredible dancing. It has real cultural significance and transports audiences back in time to the center of the Civil Rights movement in the South. Theater lovers, history buffs and everyone in between will love this show." Bill Stephan, Executive Director of the Lied Center, said about the show.

"Memphis" is the story of the under ground dance clubs of the 1950's. With its explosive dancing, forbidden love, and songs that will have you singing for days, this is not a show to be missed.

"Memphis" is the 2009-2010 Broadway season Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, and Best Orchestrations.

Tickets can be purchased at liedcenter.org, by visiting the Lied's box office, or by calling them at 402-472-4747.
