Tony Award-nominated performer Kelli O'Hara will headline Omaha Performing Arts' 2014 Broadway Ball - Big Stars on the Big Stage on September 5, 2014. O'Hara recently received her fifth Tony Award® nomination along with Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics nominations for her portrayal of Francesca in the Broadway musical adaptation of The Bridges of Madison County. The Broadway Ball fundraising event will be held at the Holland Performing Arts Center, 1200 Douglas St. Hosted by THE PRESENTERS, a volunteer organization in support of Omaha Performing Arts, the event's Honorary Chair is Michael Cassling, and Event Chairs are Emily and Clark Lauritzen and Jackie Conway.
The evening will be themed around the Rockettes and New York in honor of the upcoming touring production of RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR STARRING THE ROCKETTES, which will be at the Orpheum Theater November 13-30, 2014.
The 2014 Broadway Ball - Big Stars on the Big Stage event will begin with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 6:00 p.m. Following cocktails, guests will enjoy dinner and a performance by O'Hara. O'Hara's Broadway credits include Nice Work If You Can Get It, South Pacific, Pajama Game, The Light in the Piazza, Sweet Smell of Success, Follies, Dracula and Jekyll & Hyde. She's performed at venues from Carnegie Hall to Capitol Hill, and she is a frequent performer on PBS's live telecasts and the Kennedy Center Honors. Her solo albums, Always and Wonder in the World, are available on Ghostlight Records.

The Broadway Ball is a biennial event with proceeds supporting Omaha Performing Arts' educational and community involvement efforts. The deadline to reserve seats is August 22, 2014.
