In anticipation of Omaha Performing Arts' and Broadway Across America's premiere engagement of JERSEY BOYS, theater and music fans are invited to tune in to Omaha's KETV, Channel 7 Saturday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. for the premiere of an all-new documentary television special "Oh, What A Night! The Story of JERSEY BOYS."
The half-hour documentary will take viewers behind the scenes of the creation of the worldwide hit musical JERSEY BOYS. Hear from the original Four Seasons including Frankie Valli, the musical's creators, cast members and fans, including radio legend Cousin Brucie Morrow and UNLV basketball coach Lon Kruger, what makes JERSEY BOYS a phenomenon that appeals to fans of all ages across the globe. In addition, viewers will get a sneak peek at exclusive footage from the musical. Jim McLaughlin, respected journalist and former producer of "CBS Sunday Morning," is the documentarian for "Oh, What A Night!The Story of JERSEY BOYS."JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.
JERSEY BOYS opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005. The JERSEY BOYS National Tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco on December 1, 2006, played a record-breaking run in Los Angeles and is still breaking house records in cities across North America. There are five Current Productions of JERSEY BOYS: New York, London, Las Vegas, Sydney, Australia, and a US National tour.
