'The Dixie Swim Club' follows the friendship of five Southern women who met while members of their college swim team. Every August they gather at the same beach cottage on the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a week-end to renew friendships, share memories and reveal upcoming plans. The dramedy focuses on four of these reunions covering thirty-five years.
The women are as different from each other as are the paths they have chosen to follow.
Dinah is an overachiever focused on her work but suffering from frustrations in her personal life.
Lexie, pampered and outspoken, has been married several times and is reluctant to let go of her youth.
Vernadette who has walked under a dark cloud for years has suddenly decided to give in and embrace the chaos surrounding her.
And Jeri Neal, sweet and innocent, has experienced a late entry into motherhood which astounds her friends.
As their lives unfold they come to realize that they must rely on one another to get through the challenges life brings and the immediate danger they all face. 'The Dixie Swim Club' is the story of these five women---a touching comedy about friendships that last forever.
