Bellevue Little Theatre to Present AMADEUS, Nov 8-24

Bellevue Little Theatre 203 W Mission Avenue, Bellevue, will present the drama 'Amadeus', based on the life of Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, on three consecutive week-ends, opening on Friday Nov. 8 and closing on Sunday Nov. 24.

Please note that our Friday and Saturday performances will now begin at 7:30 pm. Sunday matinees will begin at 2 pm.

Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling 402-291-1554 between the hours of 10 am and 4:30 pm. Monday through Saturday.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for Seniors, and $9 for students, with valid ID.

It should also be noted that the Bellevue Little Theatre Thrift shop, located next door to the theatre is now open for shopping before performances.

'Amadeus' is set two hundred and fifty years ago in the count of the Austrian Emperor and details an ongoing confrontation between Antonio Salieri, the mediocre but established court composer and the volatile Mozart. Salieri displays his jealousy and hatred during the course of the play as he attempts to destroy and discredit Mozart.

This classic tale of genius vs. mediocrity is a historical masterpiece and was the winner of both a Tony and Oscar for best play and movie.

Lorie Obradovich will direct this production, with Joey Lorincz serving as producer. Jane Keller will be stage manager and D.Laureen Pickle is serving as musical consultant.

In addition Laci Neal is costumer, Pam Matney is in charge of props, Dan Baye is sound designer, and Homero Vela is lighting designer. Wes Clowers is in charge of set consstruction.

Appearing in the title role of Mozart is Andrew Miner. He will be joined by Eric Gustafson, Valet; Jay Huse, Johann von Strack; Deb Kelly, Venticello 1; Ryan Eberhart, Venticello 2; Pat Schwery, Salieri; Dave Sindelar, Count Orsini-Rosenberg; Danielle Smith, Constanze Weber; Randy Wallace, Baron van Swieten; Robert Yazowski,, Major -Domo; Ed Cutler, Emperor; Karen Cordes, cook, and Mary Redelfs,Teresa Salieri..
