Bellevue Little Theatre, 203 W. Mission (Bellevue) will present "It's a Wonderful Life--a Live Radio Play" the week-ends of Nov. 2, 9, and 16. Performances will begin at 8 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings and 2 pm on Sunday.
Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling the theatre at 402-291-1554 between the hours of 10 am and 4:30 pm. Monday thru Sat. Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, and $9 for students.
This moving story is set in Bedford Falls on Christmas Eve. George and Mary Bailey, Clarence the Angel, and all the other memorable characters from this Christmas classic will be presented to the audience in this radio version.
This unforgettable story follows George Bailey through Christmas Eve as he struggles with mounting problems which eventually involve the entire town and its remarkable and unforgettable residents. Jimmy Stewart portrayed George in the movie version, and Donna Reed was his wife Mary. The movie is a Christmas classic, and this radio play is faithful to that movie.
Julia Hinson will direct this production, and Mark Ferrill will serve as producer.
Colin Ferguson appears onstage as George Bailey, and Victoria Luther will portray his wife Mary. Also appearing are Ed Cutler, Potter; Patrick O'Neil, Freddie Filmore; Jack Landrie, Clarence; Katy Harris, Violet, and Janet Macklin, Mrs. Bailey.
Stage manager will be Jane Keller. Set design and construction is done by Jack Hogston, and Mark Ferrill is lighting designer. Kyle Fitch is sound designer. Theresa Johnson is costumer. Pam Matney is in charge of props, and she is also sound and lighting technician.
