Bellevue Little Theatre is pleased to announce the opening and Midwest premiere of a new musical comedy, "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." With a book by Jeffrey Lane and music and lyrics by David Yazbeck, this "adult-oriented musical" will open at the BLT on Friday, March 18, running for three weekends and closing on Sunday, April 3.

The Riviera provides the setting for this clever musical, which follows Lawrence, a sophisticated con man, and Freddy, his partner, as they terrorize unsuspecting tourists with their smooth charades. This fast-paced show is an adult look at life of the rich and famous as they party their way into one hilarious situation after another.

The cast includes Debbie Cline as Muriel, Angela Fick as Jolene, Cathy Hirsch as Christine, Steven Krambeck as Freddy, Michael Taylor-Stewart as Andre and Mark Thornburg as Lawrence. Members of the vocal ensemble are Noah Diaz, Teri Gabel, Jan Gabrial, Vince Riha, Terry Schmidt and Ben Thornburg. Those in the dancing ensemble are Phyllis Cremoni, Jason DeLong, John Jones, Donna Matlock, Erin Murray and Doug Ward.

Bridget Robbins will serve as director and choreographer for this production, with Ric Swanson as musical director and Kim Hansen as assistant musical director. Bette Swanson is producer. Jane Keller and Terry Schmidt are stage managers, Jack Hogston will oversee set design and construction, Carole Zacek is the costume designer, Audrey Fisher is the lighting designer, Mike Gerhardt is the sound designer, Tony White is in charge of props, Pam Matney is the sound technician, Mark Ferrill is the lighting technician and Jason Matney will run spotlights.

Performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended and may be made by calling (402) 291-1554 Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4:30 pm. Tickets are $15/adults, $13/seniors and $7.50/students. There is a TAG discount. BLT is located in Olde Towne Bellevue at 203 W. Mission Avenue.
