Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre (CityRep), in partnership with TheatreOCU continues their Ninth Season with the Tony Award-winning Neil Simon comedy, BILOXI BLUES. BILOXI BLUES, is the second play in what is called the "Eugene Trilogy", Mr. Simon's semi-autobiographical series comprised of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS (produced by CityRep in 2005), BILOXI BLUES and BROADWAY BOUND.
The story of BILOXI BLUES centers on 20-year-old Eugene Morris Jerome from Brooklyn, who is drafted into the United States Army during World War II and is sent to Biloxi, Mississippi for basic training. Eugene learns to cope with fellow soldiers from all walks of life, falls in love, and loses his virginity under less than ideal circumstances, all while having to navigate around the eccentricities of his very unusual drill sergeant.
