Back by popular demand, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma will present its hit, Richard O'Brien's THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, October 16 through November 2 at the Plaza Theatre. The production comes on the heels of Lyric's wildly successful run of summer shows. With direction by Matthew Alvin Brown and choreography by Chris Castleberry, the show will be the interactive, live, musical version of the cult classic.

"THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW audiences can expect to find the 'same circus, different tent,' you might say," said Matthew Alvin Brown. "This incarnation of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW takes place in a broken down, haunted, traveling circus side show. However, the characters and songs you love remain the same-pure, unadulterated fun."

Regional favorite Monte Riegel Wheeler will reprise his 2008 role as Frank 'N' Furter this year. Wheeler was last seen on Lyric's stage as Clayton in this summer's TARZAN. Starring as the ill-fated lovers Janet and Brad will be Lexi Windsor and Sean Eckart. Colin Anderson will portray Riff Raff with Renee Anderson as Columbia, Vince Leseney as Eddie/Dr. Scott and Sean Burroughs as the title character Rocky. Other cast members include Kate Moore as Magenta, W. Jerome Stevenson as the Narrator and Cristela Carrizales, Elizabeth Koepp, Elliott Mattox and Brian Stockton as Phantoms.

The one-of-a-kind set is being designed by Washington, D.C.'s Collin Ranney. Ranney was nominated for a 2012 Helen Hayes Award for his work on the set of Adventure Theatre's A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD, the same production for which Michael Baron won his Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Direction of a Resident Musical.

Richard O'Brien's THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW artistic team will be rounded out with music direction by Brian T. Hamilton, costume design by Jeffrey Meekand sound design by Brad Poarch. The production is sponsored by Watts & Watts Attorneys at Law, Chesapeake Energy and The Oklahoman. Annual support is provided by Allied Arts, Inasmuch Foundation, Kirkpatrick Foundation, Oklahoma Arts Council and The Shubert Foundation.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays; and 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. There will also be several midnight performances, including on Halloween. Tickets are just $40 and are now on sale. To purchase, call (405) 524-9310, visit Lyric's box office at 1727 NW 16th Street or visit http://LyricTheatreOKC.com.
