Lyric Theatre Hosts 15th Annual Broadway Ball 9/24

The 15th annual Broadway Ball will be held on Friday, September 24th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City. This black-tie affair will include dinner, a live and silent auction, and the announcement of the winners of the 2010 Broadway Ball raffle. The evening will also feature entertainment by Lyric Theatre performers, the music of the ever-popular Burton Band, as well as special award presentations of the annual Kirkpatrick Award to honored guests.

Today, the importance of the arts to the vibrancy and quality of life of a community has never been so apparent. With that in mind, Lyric Theatre, Oklahoma's leading professional theatre company, celebrates keeping Broadway magic alive in Oklahoma City with its annual gala, the Broadway Ball.

The 2010 John Kirkpatrick Award will be presented to Paula Stover, Lyric's former Board President and present Executive Director as well as the Gaylord Family, long-time supporters of Lyric Theatre. This honor is awarded by Lyric Theatre and ThElma Gaylord Academy to individuals whose deep sense of commitment and dedication to musical theatre and theater education has helped raise interest, participation and support for the Theatre.

The Ball's coveted $10 raffle items this year include his and hers SpecializedTM Bicycles, donated by Wheeler Dealer Bicycles, an Apple iPad as well as an Apple Macbook Pro underwritten by Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company and Manhattan Construction. New this year, Lyric Theatre is offering an exciting higher-dollar raffle item: The Crested Butte Home of Clayton & Marnie Taylor. For only $100 a ticket, the lucky winner could enjoy six nights and seven days in this beautiful four bedroom, three bath home accommodated with hot tub, sauna, gorgeous mountain views, gas grill and two wood burning fireplaces. You do not have to be present at the ball to receive any of these wonderful raffle prizes. Raffle tickets are currently on sale at the Lyric Offices.
