Based on user demand, BWW is taking our commitment to arts education one step further with the launch of the BWW Student Center - High School Edition. This directory features upcoming show listings for more than 1500 high schools nationwide with more being added each week. Schools can register for 'enhanced' listings on the site - adding in photos, cast lists, videos, links and more. Productions that take advantage of this will receive highlights on our listing pages, extra editorial mentions and potential spotlight features.

And just like we do with our College Center, each week BWW will be selecting a high-school program and featuring it as our 'School in the Spotlight: High-School Edition'.

This week, BWW is thrilled to shine its High School Spotlight on Santa Fe High School in Edmond, Oklahoma! With enrollment topping nearly 2200 students, Santa Fe High School has earned a reputation for excellence in the arts. Under the direction of Robin Robinson (Drama Department) and Shermie Potts (vocal music department) the school is known for its high-calibre productions and award-winning Band and Competitive Drama teams.

A range of year-round performing arts activities complement the school's curriculum in drama, music and visual arts. Students are invited to hone their skills in drama and debate tournaments, vocal and instrumental competitions and recitals, as well as lend their talents onstage and off in the production of the Fall Play and Spring Musical.

This year's Fall Play undertaking was a production of Mary Chase's Harvey starring Brody Baumann as Elwood P Dowd, Leah Brewer as Veta Simmons, and Addison Lewis as Ruth Kelly. Rehearsals are now underway for the upcoming Spring musical, 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' which will play March 15, 16 and 17.

The school's dedicated arts activites are closely supported by the Performing Arts Council which encourages parents and guardians to get involved in fundraising and coordinating program sponsorship, costume and prop help, organizing food for rehearsals and cast parties and other ways that ensure the continuation of the school's arts activities.
