AUDITIONS - AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY
Auditions for the opening production in CityRep's 2010-2011 Season, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY by Tracy Letts will be held in the Freede Little Theatre in the Civic Center Music Hall during the following times:

Saturday, June 19, 2010, 2:00 - 6:00 pm
Sunday, June 20, 2010, 1:00 - 5:00 pm

Rehearsals begin on Thursday, August 26, 2010

Rehearsals will follow the schedule below:
Thursdays from 7-10 pm
Fridays from 7-10 pm
Saturdays from 10 am-1 pm, then 3-7 pm
Sundays from 1-7 pm

Beginning on Tech Weekend, which starts on Saturday, October 2, the schedule is as follows:

Saturday, Oct. 2, 10 am-2 pm, then 4-8 pm
Sunday, Oct, 3, 10 am-2 pm, then 4-8 pm
Monday, Oct. 4 Day off
Tuesday, Oct. 5, 6 pm-12 am
Wednesday, Oct. 6, 6 pm-12 am
Thursday, Oct. 7 FIRST PERFORMANCE, 8 pm curtain
Friday, Oct. 8, 8 pm curtain
Saturday, Oct. 9, 8 pm curtain
Sunday, Oct. 10, 2 pm curtain, CLOSING PERFORMANCE

Roles are available for Equity and non-Equity performers. For the auditions, you may prepare a short (2 minutes or less) monologue, OR you may read from the script. Suggested sides can be accessed by clicking here. You will have some time to look over the material. A familiarity with the material would be helpful, but is not necessary. CityRep produces under an AEA Small Professional Theatre, Tier 1 contact. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Stacey Logan previously appeared with CityRep as Haley Walker in BAD DATES. Born and raised in OKC, Ms. Logan started performing professionally at the age of 15. After graduating from Oklahoma City University, she moved to New York City where she continues her career. Ms. Logan has created three roles on Broadway; Rita O'Rourke in SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, also starring John Lithgow; Patsy in CRAZY FOR YOU; and Babette, the French Feather Duster in DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Additionally, she has performed the role of Paquette in CANDIDE, both in the 1997 Broadway Revival and in the 2005 production at the New York City Opera. Also on Broadway, she performed the leading roles of Tracy Lord in HIGH SOCIETY, Susan Lawrence in BIG, and Polly Baker in CRAZY FOR YOU.

Regional credits include Adelaide in GUYS AND DOLLS and Hedy LaRue in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING(St. Louis MUNY Opera), Roxie Hart in CHICAGO (Lyric Theatre of OKC), Hope in ANYTHING GOES with Chita Rivera (Paper Mill Playhouse), Billie Dawn in BORN YESTERDAY with Claude Akins (Jupiter Theater), Eileen in WONDERFUL TOWN (off-Broadway), and GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES. For television, Ms. Logan played the lead role of Polly Baker in the EMMY-nominated PBS Great Performances production of CRAZY FOR YOU. She also appeared in LAW AND ORDER, SPIN CITY, THE COSBY MYSTERIES, AS THE WORLD TURNS, and ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Recordings include: ,OH KAY!, CRAZY FOR YOU, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, CANDIDE, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS. Ms. Logan and her husband, Robert Lewis, spent over two years renovating a 1790 Dutch Gambrel house on the Connecticut River, where they reside. They also recently completed construction on a home in Vero Beach, Florida.

Actor and director, René Moreno was born in Dallas, Texas. He studied music at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and theater and dance at Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University. He has appeared in the Broadway production of Amadeus where he performed the role of Mozart understudy directed by Sir Peter Hall opposite Frank Langella and Mary Elizabeth Mastrontonio (also the First National Tour opposite John Wood). As well on Broadway he played Romeo in Joseph Papp's Shakespeare On Broadway opposite ReGina Taylor directed by Estelle Parsons with F. Murray Abraham, Delroy Lindo and Keith David. In New York City, he has also appeared at the New York Shakespeare Festival/The Public Theater, NYSF/Festival Latino, The Writers Theatre, The Ensemble Studio Theater, Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, INTAR Theatre, Lakota Theatre Company, New Dramatists, and The Drama League among others. At The Public Theater, he was a founding member of the New York Shakespeare Festival Players produced by Joseph Papp and directed by Estelle Parsons - an international, multi-cultural acting troupe that brought free out-door Shakespeare to NYC borough parks, and workshops and Broadway performances to NYC high school students and their families. He has appeared in plays by Shakespeare, Lorca, Brecht, Shaw and Chekov at prestigious regional theaters across the country including Arena Stage (D.C.), Center Stage (Baltimore), ALLIANCE THEATRE Company (Atlanta), Old Globe Theatre (San Diego), Hartford Stage, Philadelphia Drama Guild, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, A Contemporary Theatre (Seattle), Pioneer Theatre Company (Salt Lake City), Peterborough Players (N.H.), and the Alley Theatre (Houston). In Dallas-Ft. Worth, he has played at the Dallas Theater Center, Shakespeare Dallas, Theatre Three, WaterTower Theatre, WingSpan Theatre Company, New Arts Theatre, Arts and Letters Live at the Dallas Museum of Art, Meadows School of the Arts and Kitchen Dog Theater where he played the title role in King Richard III. He has appeared in television programs such as Wishbone and U.S.-Mexican War: 1846-48, as well as in Another World, As The World Turns, and Candid Camera.He has appeared in the films Late Bloomers and Learning Curve.He was also a true-to-life subject of an interactive tele-course called Journey To Health: Mind, Body, Spirit. He has directed numerous plays, including classic works and those of modern and emerging writers, in productions that have garnered critical acclaim and award recognition. As a director, his varied work has been seen at The Guthrie Theater/Guthrie Lab (Minneapolis), Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Skylight Opera Theatre (Milwaukee), Krannert Center for the Performing Arts (Urbana), Oregon Shakespeare Festival (Ashland), and Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre. As well, in Dallas-Ft. Worth, he has directed at the Dallas Theater Center, Shakespeare Dallas, Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, Stage West, Amphibian Stage Productions, WaterTower Theatre, Kitchen Dog Theater, Upstart Productions, Dallas Children's Theater, Echo Theatre, Classical Acting Company, Plano Repertory Theatre, WingSpan Theatre Company, Circle Theatre, Martice Enterprises, Collin Theatre Center, Echo Theatre, Second Thought Theatre, Meadows School of the Arts, and Theatre Three among others. He is a co-founder and producing partner of De Facto Theatre Group, where he produced and directed Sarah Kane's Crave and the one-man play And Crown Thy Good: A True Story of 9/11 written and performed by Mark Oristano. In 2010 he served as creative consultant for the Orpheus Chamber Singers concert Love Songs: Sacred & Profane at the Meyerson Symphony Center. he also directed Mrs. Warren's Profession by George Bernard Shaw at the Meadows School of the Arts. He is the recipient of fourteen Dallas-Ft. Worth Theater Critics' Forum Award citations for Outstanding Direction, three Dallas Theatre League Leon Rabin Awards for Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Production, three Dallas Observer "Best of Dallas"Awards for Best Theater Director, D Magazine's "Best of Big D" Award for Best Theater Director, The Column Theatre Awards for Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Production, The Margo Jones Directing Fellowship, two Bob Hope Awards for Outstanding Direction, The Princess Grace Foundation-USA Princess Grace Awards Theatre Fellowship, a Hollywood Drama-Logue Award for Outstanding Performance, and was honored with a National Endowment for the Arts' National Medal of Arts Nomination. He has taught directing at Southern Methodist University and has been guest lecturer at the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign, University of Dallas, University of North Texas, University of Texas-Dallas, University of Texas-Arlington, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Collin College and The Episcopal School of Dallas. He has also taught acting at KD Studio Actors' Conservatory. He is a member of AEA (Actor's Equity Association), AFTRA (American Federation of Radio and Television Artists), and SDC (Stage Directors and Choreographers Society). He holds a BFA in Theatre and Dance and an MFA in Directing from the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University. In New York City, he studied acting with Herbert Berghof, Estelle Parsons, Michael Howard, Clyde Vinson, and Shakespeare with Robert Langdon Lloyd. He studied directing with Mesrop Kesdekian and Melia Bensussen. He is an Artistic Associate with Shakespeare Dallas and with Contemporary Theatre of Dallas. He also serves on the Advisory Boards of Upstart Productions and Second Thought Theatre.
