In step with the new slogan for Carpenter Square Theatre's 27th Season, 'Dramatically Different,' the theatre is pleased to announce a dramatically different location for the opening show.

The comedy LEADING LADIES will be staged September 3-25 at the Bricktown Hotel and Convention Center, which is located at 2001 E. Reno at the intersection of Reno and Martin Luther King. The venue has easy highway access. Theatergoers may exit I-40 at Eastern/M.L. King and proceed north on M.L. King.

LEADING LADIES by Ken Ludwig is a fast-paced comedy in which two destitute actors hatch a scheme to snag a dying old woman's fortune by impersonating her two long-lost nieces from England. With a nod to the classic film "Some Like it Hot," the two men dive into their costume trunk and don women's garb to carry out their scheme, but when they fall for two local lasses and try to woo them, rapid-fire costume changes and near misses abound.

The Bricktown Hotel and Convention Center is the first business on the east side of the street. LEADING LADIES will be staged in a section of the hotel's Grand Ballroom. Full bar services will be available for patrons to enjoy prior to the performance and at intermission.

The new location for Carpenter Square's production is a result of the massive flooding of Stage Center on June 14 and the subsequent closing of that facility.

For tickets, please call: (405) 232-6500.  Tickets can also be purchased on the Carpenter Square Theatre website.
