White Rabbit Red Rabbit by the Iranian author Nassim Soleimanpour: forbidden to leave his home country, he wrote a one-performer play as a letter that would travel the world in his place. With no rehearsals, no director, and a sealed script, White Rabbit Red Rabbit is a show in which the actor reads the script for the first time onstage. This performance will be part of Let There Be Theatre - A Call to Action on March 13th. Theaters from all over the globe will be staging a production of White Rabbit Red Rabbit on March 13th, to mark the date that most theaters had to shut down due to the pandemic. At 8pm in every time zone there will be a multitude of shows starting at the same time for 24 hours, thus creating a massive theatrical community. Et Alia Theater is proud to represent New York in this event.Et Alia Theater is a NYC based theater company founded and led by international women. We bring together an unfamiliar combination of foreign and immigrant voices and offer them a space to explore their multicultural perspectives. We use our art to expose the obstacles experienced by immigrant women and empower our community. Et Alia is Latin for And Other: we create art for the other, by the other, and about the other.

Cast

Maria Müller

Maria Müller is a Romanian actor, writer and producer based in New York. She is also the Co-Founding Artistic Director of Et Alia, a theater company led by international women. Her most recent theater credits include This is Me Eating___, directed by Debora Balardini, Where Are You? (Digital), as part of Mabou Mines' 2020 SUITE/Space program, and On How To Be A Monster, written by her and directed by Federica Borlenghi. Her film credits include the feature film Queen Marie of Romania, directed by Alexis Cahill Sweet (available on HBO GO) and a short film she wrote, produced and starred in called Where Are You from Again? for which she won Best Actress at Indie Short Fest - Los Angeles International Film Festival and was nominated at the Paris Film Festival. She has been the host of East European Comic Con since 2016 and she has moderated panels with actors such as Andrew Scott, Manu Bennett, Ed Westwick, Christopher Judge or Alexander Ludwig. She graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a major in Drama and a minor in Dance.


Creative Team

Luísa Galatti

Producer
Luísa is a Brazilian actress and producer based in NYC. She holds a BFA in Theater from Escola Superior de Artes Celia Helena and recently moved to NYC to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She creates and produces new forms of theatre and film that connect people with different stories and backgrounds. Back in her home country, Luísa worked as a producer and performer in several shows, including Cronicas de Nuestra América, written by Augusto Boal and directed by Marco Antonio Rodrigues. She was also part of the production of Distopia Brasil, a devised piece directed by Pedro Granato, in which she played the role of Inquisidora. While in school, she participated in the international theatre school festival GATS, in Peru. She was an Assistant Director and Guest Star on the TV Show CherryBomb (to be released on Amazon Prime in 2021). Currently, she's producing and acting in Till Morning, a short film she wrote.


Ana Moioli

Producer
Ana is an award-winning actor, director, producer, and writer from Brazil and based in New York. Her career in acting has spanned the world, from Brazil to Russia to the United States. She has recently starred in CherryBomb, a TV series coming out on Amazon Prime in 2021 for which she was also a producer. She has received awards and nominations for her performances in both theater and film, such as in the film Elsewhere (ASFF Best Actress Award; Brazil International Film Festival's Special Jury Award), in the film Julieta (Independent Shorts Award – Best Actress Nominee) and in the show Birds of a Feather (The Secret Theatre/Take Ten Play Festival – Best Actress Nominee). She has also performed Off-Broadway several times with companies such as Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre and Group .BR. She co-directed with Ryan Cairns the short film 'Til Morning and directed and wrote the short film Bridge. Her play For The Time Being, which she also starred in, was produced at the NYWinterfest Festival in 2020.
