WORSE THAN YOU is a new play from actor/writer Mo Fry Pasic and director Sudi Green about an overly self-aware comedian who is confronted with her fear of being unlovable and forever misunderstood as she puts together the biggest show of her life. Desperate to connect, yet doomed to self-sabotage, she pushes therapists, dates, and peers away through trauma dumping, a sexual obsession with Captain America, and pathologizing all her exes with sociopathy. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll walk away with a new crush.

***trigger warning: this play contains themes of sexual assault and survival***

Starring Mo Fry Pasic

Directed by Sudi Green

Produced by Lauren Mandel (for Disco Nap)

Mo Fry Pasic (Writer, Jolie “Jo” Klein) is an actor, writer, and comedian. They came up in the New York improv comedy and theater scene producing plays and performing stand up at Ars Nova, Joe's Pub, Union Hall, The Duplex, Caroline’s on Broadway, and at The Public’s Under The Radar Festival. Their acting has been described as “virtuosic” by The New Yorker’s Howard Shaw and “relentless” by The New York Times’ Ben Brantley (he also described me as having "boundless pain and self hatred at the heart of my performance" so you'll have a blast seeing my work lol). With creative collaborator Tim Platt, their dark comedy plays have earned Pasic and Platt the title, “titans of subversion” from TimeOut NY. Mo co-wrote and performed in the play 50/50: Old School Animation with Peter Mills Weiss and Julia Mounsey and it has been cited by theater critic Helen Shaw as being on her all-time-top-ten list. Mo loves the press.

Sudi Green (Director, Jean/Gail) is an Emmy-nominated writer and comedian. She has written for Saturday Night Live, Shrill (Hulu), I Love That For You (Showtime) and numerous variety specials and awards shows. Her on-screen credits include The Other Two, Girls, and Red Oaks. A recent NY transplant to LA, you can see Sudi performing comedy that a friend from home described as ‘very expressive.’

Lauren Mandel (producer for Disco Nap) is a live entertainment and TV producer. She is currently a Co-EP on ABC/HULU’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball special and the Supervising Producer on Julia Fox’s OMG FASHUN (NBCU/Scout). She runs live comedy shows like LAS CULTURISTAS’ CULTURE AWARDS (Matt Rogers & Bowen Yang), DAD (Alex English, Devon Walker, Gary Richardson) and CABERNET CABARET with Catherine Cohen. She’s a frequent collaborator of Den of Thieves on award shows including the VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS (MTV), PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS (NBC), and the MTV MOVIE & TV AWARDS. Other credits include SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (NBC), HOLIDAYS WITH THE HOUGHS (NBC), JOE PERA TALKS WITH YOU (Adult Swim), and EP/Showrunner on Electric Hot Dog‘s (Fallon) first stand-up special which was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award.
