Cutting Edge Concerts New Music Festival 2015 concludes with a staged workshop performance of Victoria Bond's opera Clara, with a libretto by Barbara Zinn Krieger, inspired by the life of Clara Schumann. The opera focuses on Clara Schumann's tormented relationship with her father, her tempestuous romance with Robert Schumann and her struggle to balance her family obligations with her brilliant career. The performance features Gramercy Trio, and vocalists Meredith Mecum, Benjamin Bloomfield, Robert Osborne, and Paul Han. Renowned Metropolitan opera star Martina Arroyo serves as artistic adviser for the production. 7:30pm.
