Uncle Function, one of New York City’s premier sketch comedy troupes, will be celebrating the holidays with a return engagement of their popular Christmas Show - now in its third year! The Uncles will have two shows this year on Monday December 10th at 8:00PM and Thursday December 20th at 9:00PM! Each show will feature original sketches, live music, dancing, cookies, candy, and super special guests including: Matt Rogers (JFL New Faces. Las Culturistas) and Rachel Wenitsky (SNL, Reductress) on December 10th and Taylor Ortega (Disney’s Kim Possible), Max Ash (UCB Comedy) and storyteller extraordinaire Adam Wade (Inside Amy Schumer, HBO’s GIrls) on December 20th.
The Uncles are also partnering with Marine Toys for Tots. Audience members are encouraged to bring a donated toy to each show, which will be hand-delivered to local children this holiday season.
Laughing with your favorite Uncles is the best, brightest, and funniest way to ring in this holiday season!
Tickets are $10 and are available for purchase at: https://thepit-nyc.com/events/3rd-annual-uncle-function-christmas-not-holiday-spectacular/
Uncle Function has been hailed as "one of the smartest, silliest, and most seductively satisfying shows around!" by BroadwayWorld.com. NY TheatreGuide has warned: “You really need to take the opportunity to see this group before the apocalypse happens.”
Uncle Function is a sketch comedy group based in New York City. It was formed in 2015 with the help of Tony Award-winning producer Ken Davenport (Once On This Island, Kinky Boots). Uncle Function is written by and features Chris Cafero (Bull/CBS, The Other Two/Comedy Central), Russell Daniels (That Bachelorette Show/Off-Broadway), Jessica Frey (The Characters/Netflix), Douglas Goodhart (Douglas and The Goodharts/Lead Singer), and Gianmarco Soresi (Deception/ABC).
Since their inception, Uncle Function has been appeared on ABC News, The New York Times, BroadwayWorld.com, HuffPost, FunnyOrDie.com, and more. They have performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (UCB), Davenport Theatre, Broadway Comedy Club, The Tank Theater, Ensemble Studio Theatre and now they can be seen every month at The PIT. With their signature blend of cerebral and silly humor and unrivaled acting chops, these Uncles, just like your real uncles, will make you laugh, cry, think, feel moderately uncomfortable and then send you back to your parents, forever changed.
