At Caveat June 24, Trans Voices Cabaret will bring its new Pride show to the stage. Set for 9:30 PM, the evening of music, solidarity, and celebration will feature TVC creator Donnie Cianciotto as emcee and Anessa Marie as musical director.
Showcased in the evening's cast of transgender and nonbinary musical theatre performers will be Nikomeh Anderson, Lisa Stephen Friday, Barry J. Gold, Colette March, Alexander Reeves, Cesario Tirado-Ortiz, Spencer B Vigil, and Garnet Williams.
“We hope you can join us for an evening that not only celebrates, but also uplifts, the voices of transgender and nonbinary people,” said Cianciotto. “At a time when so much legislation is being passed across the country to strip rights and safety away from trans people, especially trans youth, it’s very important to come together and celebrate our joy and our power.”
Trans Voices Cabaret raises awareness and visibility of NYC’s diverse trans and nonbinary musical theatre community, and has been performing regularly since 2017.
