Headwall Theatre Company will be kicking off this Spring with: THE PILLOWMAN written by MARTIN MCDONAGH on Thursday March 27th and will run through Saturday April 12th, at The Secret Theatre 38-02 61st Street, Woodside, Queens. The Pillowman, by Martin McDonagh, is a viciously funny, seriously disturbing play about a writer in a totalitarian state who is interrogated by two brutal detectives about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a number of murders that are happening in his town. This leads to a complex exploration of the relationship between art, violence, and the nature of creativity, while also raising questions about the power of the state to control artistic expression. Starring: Luli Ortega as The Child Production Team: Scenic Design: Brian Bernhard * Equity Member appearing with permission of Actors' Equity Association without benefit of an Equity contract in this Off-Off Broadway production.
