Reckless Theatrics and Honest Accomplice Theatre are proud to produce a new play about chronic illness.
The show is a partially devised, partially scripted piece in development. The script will feature a series of letters that members of the chronic illness community wrote between themselves and their illness, a medical professional, a caregiver, or a loved one. The letters give raw, unfiltered insight into the impact these illnesses have on the people who live with them and bring representation to a community often forgotten about. Featuring an entirely chronically ill cast, including four alumni of Queens Theatre’s Theatre For All Program, the play will showcase authentic stories for the community, by the community.
The ensemble features Carla Seet, Maggie Keenan, Sam Nieves, Faith Williams, and Ali Hardy.
Stage Management by Leela S. Munsiff.
Content Warning: The show has some heavy themes around depression, negative feelings towards living with an illness, and adult language.
Queens Theatre is at 14 United Nations Ave S, Queens, NY.
